Karin van Dam
Karin van Dam is a Dutch graphic and installation artist who creates full-scale art environments, often referring to a city or a world of its own. She attended the Royal Academy of Art and Design, in s’-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. She currently lives and works in Amsterdam.
Karin’s installations are room filling and engaging, often overwhelming. She says, “I happen on my building materials by chance: tubes and drainage pipes, building plastic and sheets of rubber, wool, and balloons. These found objects then forms the pallette of new temporary installations I construct in unusual spots: in a museum, on the roof of a building or a street corner.”
